Sacramento State Guardian Scholars Program
Linda Howe-Ram (aka Ram) is the Director of Sacramento State Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) that serves students that have experienced the foster care system, McKinney Vento Act students, and unaccompanied minors. The GSP program offers focused wrap services to support students’ journey at Sac State. Being a part of the GSP means more than just a resource; students are part of a family community.
Linda has over 25 years of knowledge and leadership experience in business management, non-profits who serve at risk youth and families, child welfare programs and services, health and social services, juvenile justice system, K-12 education, and higher education. She holds a Bachelor of Education in Vocational Education, a Master of Education in Behavioral Sciences with emphasis in Gender Equity from Sacramento State and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Social Work from the University of Southern California.
Linda and her husband have been married for 35 years, they split their time living in Sacramento and Lake California. They are proud empty nesters of two well-adjusted adult sons. When she is not working, Linda is season ticket holder to Broadway Sacramento, Music Circus, and Hornet Basketball.
