Blake Johnson
Child Action, Inc.
Blake Johnson serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for Child Action, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and empowering families and child care professionals in Sacramento County by increasing access to and improving the quality of child care services. In his role, Blake oversees the Communications, Government Affairs, and Business and Fund development teams, leading initiatives to enhance the organization’s public policy influence, strengthen external relationships, and drive growth through strategic partnerships.
Blake holds a BA in Government from California State University Sacramento and has more than 13 years of government affairs experience. He has been instrumental in passing key legislation related to affordable housing, economic development, academic achievement, and support for foster and homeless youth. Additionally, his efforts contributed to the largest investment in education in California’s history.
Blake lives in Sacramento with his wife and their two young children. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys traveling. Blake is also passionate about community involvement and serves on the City of Sacramento’s Stadium Area Financing Authority and the Inclusive Economic and Community Development Investment Committee. His personal and professional lives are closely aligned, as he deeply values the importance of strong, supportive communities. Blake is passionate about the mission of Stanford Sierra Youth & Families because it aligns with his belief in the transformative power of support and stability in a child’s life.
