Celebrating Dee Hartzog
Our Inaugural Champion for Children Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree
We are thrilled to announce that Dee Hartzog has been selected as the very first recipient of our Champion for Children Lifetime Achievement Award. This award, which will become an ongoing tradition, is our way of honoring those who have made a lasting impact on our mission through years of dedicated support and service.
Dee’s illustrious career as an attorney was marked by a profound commitment to justice and advocacy, where she tirelessly served her community. From supporting our Wonder Camp since 1998 to organizing field trips, serving as a board member, participating in fundraisers, spreading holiday cheer, and sponsoring speaking opportunites at Rotary, Dee’s impact has been felt in every corner of our organization.
Her thoughtful gestures, like requesting donations to our agency in lieu of flowers for her husband Joe’s passing, reflect her deep commitment to our cause. Whether it’s been through golf tournaments, community events, or local initiatives like Sacramento’s Big Day of Giving, Dee has consistently gone above and beyond to support Stanford Sierra Youth & Families and uplift the youth of Sacramento.
Through her unwavering commitment to the Fund Development Committee, Dee helped secure nearly $84,000 in direct donations, with an additional $40,000 in influenced contributions—testaments to her incredible ability to inspire others to support local youth and families.
Dee Hartzog’s commitment to our community is truly remarkable, and we are honored to recognize her as our very first Champion for Children Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Her legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering support will continue to inspire us all as we move forward, recognizing the long-time supporters who help make our mission possible.
